View From Greenwich Village, September 11

They had the memorial “Tower of Light” turned on tonight in honor of the nineteenth anniversary of the World Trade Center attack. Here is the view from Greenwich Village, approximately Hudson St. and Perry St. The tower is a little more than a mile to the south. Mrs. MC and one of our daughters were standing at this spot in 2001 when they watched the second tower fall.

It seems like a very long time ago.
